Two weeks ago I visited the Bodie Lighthouse hoping to capture some Milky Way. The night was a partial success as clouds were pretty persistent throughout the entire night. At first I wasn’t a fan of this shot because I thought the clouds would ruin it. After some post processing, the clouds and haze seemed to enhance the actual photo by highlighting the Ray’s from the light emitting the lighthouse. This lighthouse has a single light that blinks twice in succession every twenty seconds so timing this wasn’t to difficult. Of course the light is blown out highlight wise, but from my other images, timing the light to not cause the highlights to blown out would eliminate the light rays, which in my opinion, make this image all the more interesting. Sacrifices.
Single image, processed in Adobe Camera Raw and PS.

I appreciate you having a look, hope you enjoy.
